The Object of the Devil’s Ire

Of all the nations in the world, I believe the devil wants more than anything to destroy the U.S. of A.We might ask why? Part of the answer is to be found in the fact that this is or at least has been, the bastion of Christianity. It was founded on Christian principles by men that were, in the majority of cases, Christians. They based many of our laws on the Bible.
Also, we have had more freedom that other country in the history of the world. This principle was also based on the Scriptures. (Satan likes to keep people in bondage of one sort or another.) One of the founding fathers said that our form of government could not survive unless a majority of our citizens were responsible and self-disciplined.

Lack of self-discipline
1 Corinthians 9:25 "…temperate in all things…"

We see more and more members of our society becoming excessive and obsessive. We see this self indulgence reflected in excessive debt, excessive use of alcohol, tobacco, legal and illegal drugs (it has been stated that 36% of households in America engage in excessive use of such substances), having babies out of wedlock, living together without being married, criminal activity of all sorts, pornography, public servants violating their oaths (millions of dollars missing in the Orleans School System), schools offering courses that subvert our children’s morals, and a judicial system that is our of kilter. This is just a few of the things we might sight.

Excessive government debt
Romans 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

We not only see individual members of our nation in deep debt, but we see our government’s seemingly complete disregard for debt. It has become all things to all people, including other nations. Virtually every year, since the Eisenhower Administration, our government has run a deficit. It has become a habit, much like an addiction.
The deficit is a yearly matter and the national debt is the accumulation of the yearly deficits. I have heard the national debt estimated at several trillions of dollars. Our government spends about a billion dollars every 8 hours! Our country is actually bankrupt but nobody recognizes it. Eventually, something will trigger this recognition and we will fall on our national face. There is a natural law that says you cannot spend more than you make without eventually having to give an account of yourself. This applies to nations as well as individuals.
Just this morning while writing this document, I heard a report by Greenspan of the Feds saying our deficit will bring great problems if we don’t do something about it. Do we hear a rustling of feet in Washington to correct this problem? Hardly. In my opinion, this warning will fall on deaf ears. Washington makes a career out of spending money, and is not their money, but our money.

A world government
Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Another very threatening but popular idea is that we are accountable for all the world’s ills and must somehow fix all that is wrong in the world. This idea seems to have taken hold of the President and permeates much of the congress. This idea promotes a world government. If this is carried out to its fullest, we will lose our identity as a separate and sovereign nation. I have heard the President make statements to that effect. Such as we must spread democracy around the world. (Think I am blowing smoke? Look at the article below from the FREE PRESS.) We must rid the world of poverty, etc. I might add that our national debt seems to qualify us as an impoverished nation. Our government is neither able nor obligated to do any of the before mentioned things. Our government is primarily obligated to protect us, and not anybody else. (This week I heard a comment on a TV talk show. He said our Congress is more interested in what other countries think of us than they are of protecting us.) President Washington, our first president, advised us to keep out of other nations affairs and tend to our own. I know of no one today that has offered any better advice. But we have completely ignored it for many years. And this has gotten us into many of the problems we are experiencing today. It is no wonder that world seems to hate us.

Twisted Plan to Remake The World
From American Free Press Aug 8, 2005

Buried inside the house version of a new bill authorizing spending on foreign aid is an insane measure called the Advance Democracy Act. The act would "commit United States foreign policy to the challenge of achieving universal democracy." If passed, the measure will have U.S. ambassadors around the world draw up "democracy transition plans for unfree regimes," relying on the input of opposition movements in the more than 120 countries where the U.S. maintains embassies.
In an article in the MIDDLE AMERICAN NEWS of August 05, titled, "U.S. Elites Plan to Merge America With Mexico and Canada By 2010," the articles opens with, "U.S. elites have embarked on a plan to merge the U.S. with Canada and Mexico over the next five years, according to documents published by the influential Council on Foreign Affairs." The article goes on to say that, "The merger of the three countries was agreed to in principle by President Bush and the other two heads of state when they met for a North American summit at President Bush’s Texas ranch in March…"
In the same MID AMERICAN NEWS, Phyllis Schlafly, a columnist, says, "a follow-up meeting was held in Ottawa on June 27, after which Mr. Chertoff, the American rep, said, we want to facilitate the flow of traffic across our borders."
Some other statements she makes are: "To no one’s surprise, the Council plan calls for massive U.S. aid to the other countries. The document demands that we implement ‘the Social Security Totalization Agreement negotiated between the United States and Mexico.’"
To continue, "The Council document calls for allowing Mexican trucks ‘unlimited access’ to the United States, including the hauling of local loads between U.S. cities." (There goes my son’s job he is a trucker-Ed.)
If you think that is hard to swallow, add this, the document calls for the U.S. taxpayers to "create a major fund to finance 60,000 Mexican students to study in U.S. colleges." If this is implemented, "Uncle Sap" is more than living up to his name.
Could this be the first giant step by our government toward a one-world government? Are there any plans to inform the American citizens of this earth-shaking plan? Does this little secret help explain help explain why millions of illegals are allowed to pour across our borders?

Illegal Immigration
Lamentations 5:2 Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.

One of the greatest threats to our nation is that of the great number of illegals crossing our borders from Mexico and Canada. There is a joke about soup that humoursly demonstrates this great danger. The lady of the house is making soup and suddenly she has unexpected company. What does she do? She simply adds more water to the soup. This illustrates what is happening to our country. Figuratively speaking, we adding more water to the soup. We are watering down our society be adding people who are completely diverse from our culture. They don’t speak our language, and often times they don’t aim to learn our language. Their customs are completely diverse from ours. They make no attempt to integrate into our society. They insist on maintaining their own traditions and customs. They even bring lawsuits against the very country they seem to want to succor them. This is like suing your own mother.
We have just seen the minutemen on the Mexican border trying to do something about this situation. (They are presently planning another campaign of this same nature, headed up by Mr. Simcox.) These are citizens that have exercised their constitutional rights and have demonstrated it is possible to stop the flow of illegal aliens from crossing our border. Yet, the press in general and several organization such as the ACLU, have greatly criticized them for trying to make up for our government’s short coming.
Congressman Tom Tancredo from Colorado was asked what the explanation is for our government ignoring this situation for so long a time that now we have a national crisis on our hands. He summed it up something like this: The politicians want votes and the government and businesses want cheap labor. But nobody seems to care what we Americans want, which is exercising some common sense. After all, the primary purpose of government is to protect its citizens. And it is refusing to do so at the present time. And both Democrats and Republicans are both equally guilty of this terrible breach of trust. Folks, our enemies are not primarily in Baghdad, they are in Washington!
And while we are on the subject, we might ask the question, how is it we can guard the borders of various nations of the world, such as the Korean border, the Afghan border and the Iraqi border, while at the same time we can’t control our own? I ask you, how much sense does that make? Obviously it does not make any sense. Yet, our government (translate that into elected leaders) does not seem to want to do anything about it. I am reminded of the words of The Song of Solomon, chapter 1, verse 6: "Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother’s children were angry with me; they made me keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept."

Islam
Psalms 25:19 Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.

All indications seem to point to those of the Islamic persuasion as the ones who flew the planes into the World Trade Center buildings. Our own government has repeated this over and over. Yet, we have an abundance of these people in our midst. Judging from their own writings as well as the writings of others, we have to conclude they are bent on changing our nation into some kind of Islamic nation and government.
The Caner bothers are highly educated former Moslems, and are something of an authority on this subject. They claim now to be Christians and have written books on the subject of Islam (I have read at least one of them) and have appeared on several different TV shows. They are also teaching in two different Christian seminaries at the present time. They do not have much good to say about the Islamic religion. They are promoting the idea that these people are a menace to our form of government. And I might add the Moslems in our midst are well organized and very vocal, being seen and heard on various talk shows from time to time. Again it seems to get back to the idea that we can take care of everybody’s business but our own. Nobody but a fool takes a rattlesnake to his bosom. I don’t believe our national future should be sacrificed for the so-called good will of anyone or any organization. It seems to me it is time to start looking out for our own interest and forget the woes of the world. We have enough of our own.

Religious Freedom
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Most all know that one of our most cherished freedoms is that of religious freedom. This religious freedom was gained at a great price and our Baptist forefathers were the point men in gaining this freedom. As much as we like to emphasize this great freedom, there is a law against it! The following is taken from the Center for Reclaiming America’s web site.
"The fact is, since a law was pushed through in 1954, the IRS has had the authority to censor our churches and our pastors! This gag order has caused many pastors to shrink from sharing a biblical viewpoint on political issues."
(This information is found on www.reclaimamerica.org/PAGES/NEWS/newspage.asp)
How many of my readers knew of the above law? I did not know this myself. As you can see, it is of long standing. I am wondering how many, if any, of our strong Baptist pastors have challenged it. It is said that Lyndon Johnson is the instigator of this law.
Some of those that will and are actively seeking to destroy our freedom of religion are: The ACLU, the Moslems, the government, and the Catholic Church, to name a few. Coral Ridge Ministries in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, has compiled a list of things the ACLU is actively pursuing. I have that list and will e-mail it to anyone who requests it. However, I must advise you if you are subject to fainting spells, you should not read it. (My e-mail address is hmcswain@bellsouth.net According to the list, there are nine things they are for and nineteen they are against. (No sensible person would agree with any of the things listed.) Unfortunately they have already achieved some of their listed goals. One of the most outlandish things they are for is that of legalizing child porn! They are against Prayer in public school classrooms as well as in locker rooms, sports arenas, graduation exercises, courtrooms, and legislative assemblies. (They have pretty much achieved this goal.) I ask, are churches next on their hit list? I see no reason to think they can’t achieve this goal as well, especially with their willing accomplices, the Federal judges. In any event, our freedom of religion has been restricted and continues to be eroded by this anti-Christ organization.
According to the law passed in 1954, the government can arrest you for discussing politics while preaching a sermon. What is the next step? A law (or ruling by a federal judge?) against discussing or condemning homosexuality or any other thing (such as abortion), which we believe the Bible condemns? And the bad part is the government has the power to carry out the penalty that the law or federal court rulings might prescribe.
In an article entitled "FBI Investigates Sermon," from THE BAPTIST WATCHMAN of Aug. 2005, pastor Randy Steele of Southwest Christian Church in Mt. Vernon, Ill., says the FBI called him on the carpet to question him in regards to a comment he made from his pulpit about the subject of abortion. Will we eventually have to get an okay from the government before we can deliver a sermon?

I will close my article discussing what part Rome may play in this scenario. I quote part of a declaration published by the Roman Church, which appeared in THE TIMES Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, under the title, "Vatican says all religions not equal." (This is a Shreveport newspaper.)
"We believe that this one true religion continues to exist in the Catholic and Apostolic Church." Mr. Ratzinger was the head of this department at that time. As you are aware, he is now the head of the Roman Church.
Read that statement over several times. Let it sink in. This church is saying it is the sole and only custodian of all Christian truth! Just a cursory comparison of the Roman Church with the New Testament church reveals truth is way down on their priority list if indeed it is even listed. (Romanism is a hodgepodge of heathenism, tradition, and a thin veneer of Christianity.) Any religious organization that is as powerful and arrogant as this one is, and based on their history (the Spanish Inquisition, the Crusades, Fox’s Book of Martyrs), is, in my opinion, a threat to our religious freedom. John the Revelator, in Revelation 17:1, using God’s view of this so called church, calls this false religious system: "…the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:"

In closing, any nation that becomes so unwilling to defend itself, as ours seems to have become, will surely land on history’s junk heap.
