Pastor Kelley and Sister Eyvonne Hinson
This is a brief bio of where I have been, and a few
of the things that have happened to me since graduating from Lorena
High School in Lorena, Texas almost fifty two years ago in 1957.
After graduating I moved to Houston, Texas where my Dad and Mother
and siblings had moved a few months earlier. In December of that
year I joined the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force I
was sent to Japan for about two and a half years. After returning
home in 1960 I renewed a friendship that was started on a blind date
which was arraigned by one of my Air Force buddies. In May of 1961
she (Eyvonne Ellis) became Mrs. Kelley Hinson. We have two children,
a daughter, Julie McBrayer and a son. Joseph. At this present time
we have six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
After I was converted in the fall of 1968 I joined Bethel Missionary
Baptist Church in Pasadena, Tex. Several months later I told the
church that God had called me into the ministry. In May of 1970 the
church ordained me and called me to be the assistant pastor. In
October of 1976 the church sent me to Fort Worth as a missionary. In
January of the following year the mission was organized into the
Landmark Sovereign Grace Baptist Church. They called me to be their
pastor and by the grace of Almighty God we have been here ever
since.
