Baptists Online is a web site dedicated to bring glory to the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. This site is a mission work of the Sovereign Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Texarkana, Texas. It is our hope and prayer to supply the world with the true gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and to combat churches of error with churches of truth. We believe that it is not ok to preach and promote error in the good of building massive congregations. We believe it is good to stand on truth and suffer small churches because of truth. Therefore, we will do all we can to help churches of truth get their message out to the world. We will be using this web site to build web sites for churches that cannot afford or do not have the ability on their own to have and promote web sites. We will also be uploading audio sermons from all across the United States and Canada in order for the world to hear. We also will have a lot of sermons, books, outlines, and articles for everyone to hear and read. This web site stands on truth, real Baptist truth not the teac.hings you hear in so-called Baptist churches of today but rather the truths that John, Paul, Peter, and etc taught. We still believe in a Sovereign God, we still believe the church that Jesus built still exist, we still believe salvation is by God's Grace and not by a sinners prayer, a choice, or following a Romans Road. Therefore we will allow only men and churches to post things on this site that will adhere to real Baptist Doctrine.

Welcome to Baptists Online. We call it Baptists Online because it is not about one church nor one Pastor. Baptists Online is a site for all Independent, Landmark, Sovereign Grace, Missionary, Baptists to enjoy. We want to invite you to visit all of the links on this web site and we pray they will bless your hearts and educate you on God's word. We know that you may not agree on every point however no one does. We do not serve a circle of Pastors or churches but the Lord. We will do our best to only post good doctrinal articles and sermons however that does not mean that it is necessarily your personal belief, Baptist, even Baptist that agree on the points mentioned disagree on something. However, if you see or hear something that is not Baptist doctrine please let us know. We would love to post your articles and/or audio sermons, if you are interested please e-mail our Webmaster. We do want to remind you that all postings are at our webmasters option.

We here at Baptists Online Believe in a Sovereign God, we believe that God has an eternal knowledge of all things from eternity past to eternity future. We believe that He will never change His mind on any subject or on anything ever. We believe that God does all things after the counsel of His own will and all things He has willed will without hindrance come to be just as He has planned it too.

We Believe that God saves sinners and that our salvation is His workmanship He has created in Christ Jesus our Lord. We do not adhere to the teaching that man brings about salvation through the means of a choice, a decision, a prayer, or any other part that man may play. We do believe that man give the planting of the seed and gives the water however God without a doubt gives the increase.

We do believe in the systematic teaching know as T.U.L.I.P. or the five points of sovereign grace. While this systematic teaching does not go back to the New Testament times all five points do. John Calvin may have systemized the teaching, however the teaching is that of Christ Himself.

We believe that the church began in Jerusalem and was instituted during the earthly ministry of Jesus and she still exist today. We believe the vote taken in Acts chapter one is without a doubt the first church. We believe the second chapter of Acts contains the empowerment of the church by the Holy Spirit by replacing Jesus Christ as her Comforter. We see in Acts chapter two that taking place when three thousand were "added" to her.

We believe that the King James Version of the Bible is the closest we have to the original text and that other versions have belittled the true meaning of the original text.

A Gift to the Church

Every Church Member and Deacon Needs To Read This Article

It is written in the Scriptures: “...When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. ... And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: ... That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love...”(Eph. 4:8,11-12,14-15)

In this age there is a gross misconception concerning preachers and pastors.  Far too many churches are of the opinion that if they hire the preacher they are in control of him and what he preaches.  In other words, they feel they own him, and he is to be the servant of the church.  This is not only an awful misconception; it is also a vulgar and grievous sin against God.
The term “the man of God” means exactly that; the preacher is God’s possession.  If man or the church owns him, he is not “of God.”  The plain truth of the matter is that the preacher belongs to God.  If God so pleases to place his preacher in the care of a church, it is because God is giving a gift to that church.  He is not transferring ownership; rather God is, by design, graciously placing His gift in the church for a particular purpose.  It is “for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”

The reason the pastor is to do these things is “that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine.”  The gift from God is graciously placed in the church for the benefit of spiritual stability of the church.  Yet, it is amazing how many church folk feel the pastor is placed in their church so that they can set him straight, or so that he can be the venting of their abuse as they disobey the Word of God.  Rarely do churches recognize and appreciate God’s gift to them; such a rarity is a treasure indeed.  The man, though a mere human, is filled with the gift of God, which makes him a heavenly gift to the church.  He is not perfect, and he is not to be put on a pedestal.  Why do you think some churches lack this gift?  Do you treat your pastor as a gift from God?
